Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan:

“We need to adapt our thinking to new realities. It’s impossible to find families without elderly people, people with chronic diseases: diabetes, hypertension, coronary heart disease, cancer, etc. All of them are a direct target for coronavirus. ”

Anti-coronavirus measures in Armenia

The state of emergency will remain in force in Armenia until June 13.

However, restrictions on movement have already been lifted and almost all businesses have opened: enterprises, shops, hairdressers, museums.

From May 18, public transport has been restored, and will be regularly sanitised. All passengers must use face masks while on public transport.

Many doctors and experts openly say that these almost 1,500 deaths are the tragic result of the coronavirus pandemic. However, the official number of deaths from Covid-19 in the city in May is 171 people.

Russian opposition leader Aleksey Navalny wrote in his Telegram channel:

“This is a direct result of the total falsification of statistics on morbidity in St. Petersburg. There for weeks they draw the same number of detected cases per day – 370-380, and make management decisions based on falsified data.

This is just a monstrous crime. All its organizers, performers and accomplices are sure to stand trial. ”

In total, 76 people have died since the start of the epidemic in Azerbaijan.

6 260 were infected, of which 3 665 recovered.

More than 2,000 people are in the hospital.

Due to the extended quarantine, state borders will remain closed until at least June 15th. However, all cafes, restaurants, shops, institutions and organizations have already started working again, and a new shopping center has even opened.

Movie theaters, entertainment centers and gyms remain closed.

In Armenia, 515 new infections and 12 deaths reported in one day.

The prime minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan is in isolation, as is his entire family, with confirmed Covid-19. He again called on people to maintain distance and self-defense:

“What should I do, should I let special forces to beat and drug people home? I can’t do that. Would police batons stop people? They deal with criminals this way. But I can’t treat my people like that.

Please, follow the rules, so that we do not die, and nobody is endangered. It’s pointless to look for the guilty. Because if people are guilty, then the government is guilty. If the government is guilty, then the people are also guilty, because they brought this government to power.

We are one, it is impossible to separate us from each other.”

Four new cases  in Georgia, three of them are foreign long-haul truck drivers.

One more patient died of COVID-19 in Georgia, in total 13 deaths from the beginning of the epidemic.

800 people have become sick, 1,162 people of them have been cured.

In Georgia, the state of emergency was lifted on May 23 and most quarantine measures were lifted. Resumed public transport in settlements.

Starting June 8, transport across the country begins to operate, including trains going.

From July 1, Georgia intends to meet foreign tourists again.
