Ninth death in Azerbaijan, 104 new cases
The most recent death from coronavirus to be reported in Azerbaijan was 71 years old. He suffered from severe chronic diseases.
The total number of cases is 926.
Of the number of people infected since the beginning of the epidemic, 101 have been cured and discharged from hospitals.
A stricter quarantine regime has been introduced in Azerbaijan – the metro is closed, but the buses are running. The work of most enterprises, offices, restaurants and shops, except for grocery and drugstores, has been suspended.
People are required to stay at home. Starting April 5, restrictions on movement have been introduced – before leaving the house, residents will have to inform the authorities via SMS.
For violation of the quarantine regime will be a fine.

Roadblocks at entrance to cities of Lentekhi, Tsageri in Georgia’s northwest
The Racha-Lechkhumi-Kvemo Svaneti region in northwest Georgia has been placed under special control.
The entire population of the cities of Lentekhi and Tsageri is being checked for temperatures with the help of special thermal screens, the checkpoints at the entrances stop all cars and also check the temperature of drivers and passengers.

10th death in Armenia, 40 new cases
The patient was 80 years old and he had a number of chronic diseases.

From March 16 to April 14, a state of emergency was declared in Armenia in order to avoid an even greater spread of coronavirus. Everything is closed except grocery stores and pharmacies.

8 new cases in Georgia, bringing total to 214

Curfew in Gagra region in Abkhazia after second case recorded
Abkhazia’s Gagra region will now be subject to a curfew after a second case of coronavirus infection has been recorded in the region.
The curfew runs from eight in the evening until seven in the morning.
Residents are not allowed to leave the apartments; local authorities supply them with food.

Clinic in Georgian city of Kobuleti put in quarantine
Five members of one family in the city of Batumi in Western Georgia have been diagnosed with coronavirus.
It was discovered that one of them was being treated at a medical center in nearby Kobuleti. After that, the center was closed.
The sick family are relatives of a 60-year-old woman coronavirus who died on April 7 in Batumi. Where she got infected is still unknown.
It also turned out that she was visiting the village of Gvara in the Kobulet district. 14 people in this village are already in self-isolation. When epidemiologists finish their work, it will become clear whether a quarantine will be declared in this village where 1,089 people live.

Abkhazia reports first case of coronavirus
An Abkhaz citizen, who was on a business trip in Moscow for a long time, turned out to be infected. The other day he returned to Gagra, where his family lives.

Georgia records third coronavirus death
An 86-year-old woman who was being treated in the Tbilisi Infectious Disease Hospital has passed from COVID-19.
“She suffered from a neurological disease ad she had bilateral pneumonia. There was practically no healthy lung tissue left, there was severe sepsis and other severe complications”, said the head of the infectious diseases hospital Tengiz Tsertsvadze.
As of April 7,195 cases of coronavirus infection were recorded in Georgia. 4,735 people are quarantined, 383 are under inpatient supervision. 39 patients have recovered, 3 have died.

Eighth death in Azerbaijan, 76 new infections
The eighth victim was a 67-year-old man and, like most previous coronavirus victims in Azerbaijan, he suffered from diabetes.

20 new cases in Armenia – total of 853
87 people have recovered from the coronavirus in Armenia, and eight died.
