Baku is running out of medical masks
In Baku, there is a shortage of medical masks – in pharmacies there are none at all, or they are four times more expensive than usual. This is reported by the site Ednews.net. This is because of the increased demand for masks due to the coronavirus epidemic in China.
Social media users joke that antibacterial soap will be the next to experience a price hike.
And in mid-February, as an act of humanitarian aid, the Azerbaijani city of Sumgait (35 kilometers from Baku) sent 80 thousand medical masks to the Chinese cities of Mianyang and Xi’an. They also sent shoe covers, medical gloves and other disinfection and prophylactic materials to these cities.
