Video survey in Abkhazia: What is the Abkhaz honour code, and should it be observed?

“Apsuara is the Abkhaz code of honour and a custom dating back several ages,” wrote Shalva Inal-Ipa, a well-known Abkhaz ethnologist. Everyone had to closely follow the code in old times.

A blitz survey conducted by JAMNews in the streets of Sukhum revealed that this is still the case, at least this is what every person we put the question to said.
