Azerbaijan closes border with Iran over coronavirus; already three infected in the country
On February 29, Azerbaijan closed the border with Iran for two weeks to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
At present, three cases of infection have already been registered in Azerbaijan. One of the infected individuals is a Russian citizen, two are Azerbaijani citizens. All three came from Iran.

At the same time, a corridor will remain open so that Iranian citizens can leave Azerbaijan, and Azerbaijani citizens can re-enter the country.
The same applies to air traffic, as reported by the press service of Azerbaijan Airlines, only Azerbaijani citizens will be allowed on Tehran-Baku flights, and only Iranian citizens on Baku-Tehran flights.
Azerbaijani citizens who wish to return to their homeland can contact the embassy in Tehran or the consulate in Tabriz.
