Armenian and Azerbaijani FMs to meet in September
Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers will meet in New York – the Armenian FM, Edward Nalbandian, briefed the Armenian mass media.
The meeting is reportedly scheduled for September this year.
“The meeting agenda includes issues which we have discussed on a number of occasions, namely the creation of relevant conditions for pushing forward the negotiation process,” said the Armenian FM.
Last time the Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers met was on 11 July.
Edward Nalbandian also stated that there was no alternative to the negotiations. ‘It’s hard to re-invent the wheel again. So, we have what was previously discussed and we will hold talks around those issues.”
As for a possible meeting between the Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents, Nalbandian noted that this issue was still unclear and no concrete arrangements had been made in this regard.
