First doctor dies in North Ossetia. More than 200 medics infected
The doctor was 49.
According to the ministry of health of North Ossetia, more than 200 medical workers are infected with coronavirus. Among them are not only doctors, but also nurses, ambulance drivers, office cleaners.
94 new cases confirmed in North Ossetia in one day. Total, 1,466 cases, 10 people died.
In Russia, the record number of cases in one day has been confirmed – 11,231. The country has found itself at fifth place in the world in the number of infected – a total of 177 160. Of these, 1,625 died.

In total, 28 people died from the beginning of the epidemic in Azerbaijan.

Since May 4, the quarantine regime has been partially relaxed in Azerbaijan, however, it will be completely canceled only on May 31.
In the provinces, all restrictions on movement were lifted, cafes, restaurants and parks opened. In large cities – Baku, Sumgait, Ganja and Lankaran – restrictions on movement remain in force. In order to go out, one still needs to have a certificate of employment or get an sms permission issued for three hours a day.
Buses work, but the metro is closed. Cafes and restaurants are still closed. All the stores were opened, as well as hairdressing salons, and employees of some state institutions went to work.

Already 11 people infected in South Ossetia
“One of the patients is a man who came from North Ossetia. Several others are students of the universities in Russia, they were helped to come home,” said Anna Gagloeva, a spokeswoman for the local RES agency.

Two more deaths in Armenia, 102 new cases
In total, 42 people have already died from the beginning of the epidemic in Armenia.
2,884 people have become sick, 1,185 people of them have been cured.

However, starting May 4, some restrictions on movement have been lifted, and almost all businesses have reopened: plants, shops, hair salons and museums.
Public transportation between cities and villages has resumed. It is still banned within the settlements, though.

5 new cases in Georgia, total 615
275 people of them have been cured.
In total, 9 people died from the beginning of the epidemic in Georgia.
State of emergency in Georgia
The state of emergency was announced on March 21, and will last until May 22.
The gradual easing of the coronavirus restrictions has already begun.
The cities of Batumi and Kutaisi are open for entry and exit, and construction businesses have begun operations again. The restrictions on the operation of online stores and home delivery have been removed.
The remaining restrictions on the state of emergency are still in effect.
Public transport has been suspended and a curfew is in effect from 21:00 to 06:00.
Tbilisi and Rustavi remain closed.

The minister of culture of Russia is infected, as are the prime minister and minister of construction
Olga Lyubimova, 39, is in isolation.
Prime minister Mikhail Mishustin, 54, has been in a hospital since April 30.
On May 1, minister of construction Vladimir Yakushev and his deputy Dmitry Volkov were hospitalized with coronavirus.
In addition, the minister of science of Russia Valery Falkov unexpectedly went into self-isolation mode, although no diagnosis of coronavirus was reported.

Two deaths in one day in Azerbaijan, sharp increase in number of new cases
Since the beginning of the epidemic, 28 people have already died.
For the second day in a row, the number of new coronavirus infections is growing in Azerbaijan. Prior to this, positive dynamics was observed for two weeks.
During the day, 67 new cases were detected (the day before – 76). In general, from the beginning of the epidemic, 2,127 people have become ill, of whom 1,536 have recovered.

24 medics infected in North Ossetian regional hospital
This is the result of a survey of the Ardon district hospital in North Ossetia. In total, only 119 cases of infection were recorded in this area alone.
The number of people infected with coronavirus infection in North Ossetia has increased by 89 per day and now stands at 1,342 people. Nine people have passed away.
This video is from a clinic in the city of Beslan in North Ossetia. It was published on social networks by a nurse who, along with an elderly mother, had to wait a few hours at the reception room to be received by a doctor. Both have very high fever, there are signs of coronavirus.

6 new cases in Georgia, including two young children
A total of 610 people were infected. 269 people of them have been cured. In total, 9 people died from the beginning of the epidemic in Georgia.
The worst situation remains in the Bolnisi district, 118 people are infected there. The Bolnisi and neighboring Marneuli districts have been quarantined since March 25.
Among the new cases are two children 4 and 7 years old.

St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov visited City Maternity Hospital No. 9 and published photos that have caused outrage on social media: in the photos, he has a mask, a plastic face shield and gloves and is standing next to a completely unprotected woman who has recently given birth.
