Women earn twice less than men in Azerbaijan
Men earn almost twice more than women in Azerbaijan and the difference makes 43%.
The International Labor Organization (ILO) published a report on wage gap between men and women in different countries around the world – innov.ru media outlet reports.
By these indices, Azerbaijan is lagging behind all of its neighbors in the region. For example, Russian men earn by 27% more than Russian women, whereas in Georgia this difference makes 38%.
Interestingly, Armenia’s indices are equal to those of Europe. A female citizen in Armenia earns just 20% less than her male colleague.
