Aliyar started this business when he was a schoolboy. He was tired of seeing gloomy and worn out faces in the street. Therefore, Aliyar bought two boxes of ‘Raffaello’ chocolates (he did not have much money) and handed them out to the elderly and children. Their surprised faces and smiles (as well as comments like ‘is it for free?!’ and ‘why are you doing this?’) caused some warm sentiments in him. Later, his colleague offered him to shift to a more environmentally friendly and wholesome product – tangerines, as a symbol of the New Year mood.
For already several years, on December 30, Aliyar and his friends gather at the Fountain Square and hand out tangerines to children and the elderly people.
