One man dead in cable car accident in Azerbaijan
One person has died in a cable car accident in Quba, Azerbaijan and four others sustained injuries.
The deceased, Ruzgar Rzayev, was an employee of Quba Palace Hotel. The cable care belonged to the hotel complex. Two of those injured have already been treated by medical professionals and were sent home while the other two remain in hospital in moderate-severe condition.
The cable car’s cable broke off and the operating booth broke down, Qafqazinfo reports.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that the cable car had been closed for repairs since 20 June. All of the victims are repair technicians.
