An apartment building is being built in the city of Shamakhi [130 kilometres north-west of Baku] for people who have been left without a home due to earthquake damage.
There will be 44 apartments in the four-story building.
A magnitude 5 earthquake occurred on the night of 5 February 2019. Several hundred homes were affected and destroyed. Another 200 were deemed uninhabitable by a special commission.
Over the past month, several homes have been rebuilt, and families will start moving in from 8 March. It is still unknown when the apartment building will be completed.
