EU Parliament greenlights visa-free travel for Ukraine
EU Parliament approved a visa waiver for Ukrainian nationals travelling to Europe, by a vote of 521 to 75.
For the waiver to finally come into effect, it now has to be approved by the EU Council. Ukraine and the EU started negotiating its visa-free travel program as far back as 2008.
In 2015, the EU found Ukraine had met all the waiver-related requirements.
As of 28 March 2017, Georgian nationals have been travelling to EU without visas too.
