In order to go out, one still needs to have a certificate of employment or get an sms permission issued for three hours a day.
Buses work, but the metro is closed. Cafes and restaurants are still closed. All the stores were opened, as well as hairdressing salons, and employees of some state institutions went to work.

Russia now has second highest virus case total
On May 17, 281 762 cases confirmed in Russia.
Only the USA is ahead, there are more than one and a half million cases.
Of the infected, according to official statistics, 2,631 patients died in Russia.
But many experts and media agencies in Russian and abroad are dubious of the optimistic Russian statistics. In particular, it shows a stark contrast from the global trend. Five more deaths in Armenia, 189 new cases
In total, 60 people have already died from the beginning of the epidemic in Armenia.
4,472 people have become sick, 1,925 people of them have been cured.

However, starting May 4, some restrictions on movement have been lifted, and almost all businesses have reopened: plants, shops, hair salons and museums.

Public transport has been suspended and a curfew is in effect from 21:00 to 06:00.

Almost 700 people have died in Dagestan from ‘pneumonia’ – more than 40 were doctors
The minister of health of Dagestan, Jamaludin Hajiyibragimov, told reporters that since the outbreak of the epidemic in the republic, 657 people have died from “pneumonia.”
The coronavirus, he said, killed 27 people.
Journalists and bloggers believe that in fact all these people died from the coronavirus. And they also say that these figures are underestimated, and the situation is actually even worse.
According to official information, 3,280 cases of coronavirus infection were recorded in Dagestan. But the minister said that more than 13 thousand people were hospitalized with ‘pneumonia’ in hospitals in Dagestan.

312 infected in breakout at Russian goldmine, military field hospital going up
At the gold mine in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the main problem is the lack of housing. Thousands of people live on the principle of a hostel, and there is no way to separate the sick from the healthy.
There is no suitable hospital. While the patients were put in tents. Local authorities turned to the ministry of defense for help, it’s promised to deploy a field military hospital within two days.
As of May 16, Russia has more than 272 thousand infected, 2.537 deaths (third place in the world). Doctors and experts both in the country and abroad say that these statistics are very underestimated.

Already 34 people infected in South Ossetia, including doctors
There are up to 700 people in quarantine self-isolation, all of them returned home from Russia, where they study or work.
The first cases were recorded in South Ossetia on May 6.
Residents of South Ossetia return from Russia by organized groups in special vehicles allocated by the government of the republic, and immediately after arrival are quarantined.
All educational institutions and many companies have been closed in South Ossetia. The borders of the Russian and Georgian sides have been completely closed.
In Georgia, it is reported that a total of 80 people from South Ossetia and Abkhazia are treated in the country’s hospitals.

Armenia hits 55 deaths, breakout of new infections - 239 in one day
Over the past day, three more people died in Armenia, including a 46-year-old woman.
