Boris Nemtsov`s Killer Sentenced to 20 Years

All five members of the gang that were accused of killing Boris Nemtsov in February 2015, were sentenced in Moscow.

Boris Nemtsov was shot in the vicinity of the Kremlin.

The jury found all five who come from Chechnya guilty of murder. ZurDadaev, who fired the shot that killed Boris Nemtsov was sentenced to 20 years in prison. The remaining four received jail sentences ranging from 11 to 19 years. None of the accused pleaded guilty.

Lawyers for Boris Nemtsov`s family spoke on many occasions voicing their disappointment. They claim the goal of the judge and the prosecutors was to sentence the performers, leaving the question of the organizers and the paymasters aside.
