Terrorist attack near London mosque

One person was killed and eight reported injured after a van ploughed into a crowd outside London’s Finsbury Park Mosque at night.

The 48-year-old man, who was driving the van, was restrained by pedestrians and handed over to the police. During the incident he was reportedly screaming that he was going to kill all Muslims.

Police officials say they are treating the incident as a potential terrorist attack. The assaulter will also be subjected to a mental health assessment.

The British Premier, Theresa May, said an emergency Cabinet meeting will be held.
