USA, EU not to fund Armenian political forces
The U.S. Embassy and the EU Delegation will maintain a neutral stance and avoid either direct or indict funding of the political forces in Armenia.
As the Zhamanak newspaper reported, U.S. Ambassador to Armenia, Richard Mills and EU Delegation envoy, Piotr Switalski, have expressed in privy their disappointment with the current political situation in Armenia, where there are neither any competitive chances, nor a political force sharing the Western liberal values.
It was decided that at the upcoming parliamentary elections, scheduled for April 2, 2017, the USA and EU would provide limited funds to the public monitoring missions.
