A terrorist attack was the reason of the recent Russian A321airliner crash over the Sinai – Russian Federal Security Service Chief, Alexander Bortnikov, reported. According to him, a self-made explosive device with the power of up to 1 kilogram in TNT equivalent went off aboard the airliner. As he reported, the traces of the explosive substance had been found in the airliner debris and on the passengers’ belongings.
‘One can unambiguously say that this is a terrorist attack, Bortnikov stated.
Meanwhile, some observers come to a conclusion that the recent terrorist attacks – the Russian airliner crash and the terrorist attack against Paris – could become a factor, bringing Russia and the West closer.
‘The rapprochement of Washington and Moscow – in an unanimous understanding of Obama and Putin have precedence in resolving the conflict in Syria,’ – TASS news agency reported with reference to the Italian Il Messaggero. Here the reference is also made to other western Mass Media, that have expressed similar viewpoint these days.
