Putin`s golden country house
A residence was discovered by journalists near Vyborg in the Laningrad Region which is officially owned by old friends of Vladimir Putin, though in reality it is suspected that Putin himself is the owner. Rain TV reported that he has vacationed there at least once.
The historical building is located on Lodochny island. It is known as the ‘Sellgren`s country house’ and was built in 1913. The island and the buildings on it are owned by the Rudnov family, old friends of Putin`s from Saint-Petersburg times. The Rain sources in the local administration claim that the Rudnovs are the official owners.
However, the Sellgren`s country house is suspected of being one of Putin`s residences. Besides being an architectural monument, the Sellgren`s country house also served as a location for the popular Soviet series ‘The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes’.
According to the media, Vladimir Putin already owns two residences. Apart from the official ones, he also owns a residence in Siberia, one in the Altai Mountains, and one in Gelendjik on the Black Sea coast.
