Nino (Mtisa) Kvelashvili, 37, Dusheti, Georgia
Nino (Mtisa) Kvelashvili, 37, a resident of the village of Chargali in Georgia’s Dusheti Region:
“Mountains are the perfect place for me. I like the unique traditions that have been preserved here and couldn’t be found anywhere else. Only here a woman in a headscarf may shy away from a man in a token of respect, but, at the same time, remain the most interesting and inaccessible. I’t painful for me to see the young people leaving the mountains.
Mountains are for the young people, because only here the freedom-seekers, the adventurous people, can find true freedom.”
