Foreign direct investment in Georgia reached $1.9 billion in 2025, up 19.3% from the previous year, the National Statistics Office of Georgia said.
Geostat revised last year’s figures and recalculated foreign direct investment data from 2021 onwards. According to the revised figures, reinvestment accounted for most of the increase in 2025, making up 82.5% of total investment.
The UK became the largest investor in Georgia’s economy, investing $426.6 million during the year. Azerbaijan and Turkey followed.
The three countries accounted for more than 44% of total foreign direct investment.
Financial and insurance activities attracted the largest share of investment, with more than $633 million invested in the sector. Real estate and trade followed.
According to Geostat, these sectors together accounted for more than half of all foreign direct investment in Georgia in 2025.
