Bibilov has been listed number 20 as the Russian State Duma MP, that Bibilov, himself, calls ‘a ridiculous mistake.’ He has been deprived of the right to enter the territory of Ukraine, as his activities, among other, “pose real and / or potential threats to the national interests… of Ukraine …, facilitate terrorist activities and / or violate the human and citizen rights and freedoms. If he has any accounts or assets in the territory of Ukraine – they have been already blocked.
Bibilov believes, he has been ‘blacklisted’ because of his repeated visits to Crimea and the DPR (Donetsk People’s Republic). For example, in November 2014, South Ossetia Parliament Speaker observed the head of the republic elections in Donetsk, and afterwards was actively developing contacts with the DPR and LPR (Lugansk People’s Republic).
Anatoly Bibilov: ‘These sanctions will, in now way, affect me. I don’t have any accounts and business in Ukraine. And I will continue to communicate with my friends despite any bans and sanctions. I have never been doubtful about inadequacy of these guys [referring to the Ukrainian authorities – JAMnews]. It’s a kind of diagnosis. I’m proud to be in that honor list.’
A decree on introduction of sanctions against companies and individuals involved in ‘annexation of Crimea and aggression in Donbas’, was signed by Ukrainian President, Petro Poroshenko, on 16 September, 2015. The list includes 308 natural persons and 105 legal entities, representatives of overall 23 countries, including Ukraine.
