In his address to the people, Nikol Pashinyan also stated that the July escalation on the Armenian border showed the inability of the Azerbaijani army to resolve the issue by military means:

“It was unexpected for everyone, including Turkey. After that, their joint exercises began. Turkey has transferred an unprecedented number of mercenaries from Syria to the region, realizing that Azerbaijan is not able to win. ”

Speaking about the negotiation process on the Karabakh conflict, the Prime Minister emphasized that Armenia has abandoned the negotiation formula, which ignores the right of Karabakh to self-determination:

“In previous years, the negotiation process on Karabakh reached a point where, in fact, the Armenian people were required to give up their own rights.”

Baku demanded to surrender 5 out of 7 districts, submit a timetable for the commissioning of the remaining two districts and fix that any status should be within Azerbaijan. The territories were to be surrendered in exchange for peace, Pashinyan said:

“Our government, which inherited this negotiating base, refused to discuss the issue in this form, considering it unacceptable.”

The Azerbaijani Armed Forces took advantage of their impunity and violated the ceasefire by launching more powerful strikes, Karabakh President Arayik Harutyunyan said during a video message:

“In some areas, the enemy managed to wedge into the front line and move deeper.”

According to the President, the war against Azerbaijan and Turkey continues:

“There is only one way out – to force the enemy into peace. It is not too late to resolve the conflict peacefully, through negotiations. But if the enemy doesn’t want to, we are ready to fight to the end. We believe in our victory. I urge you to physically participate in defending your homeland. “

The press secretary of the Turkish president said earlier that Ankara does not object to the proposal of the Azerbaijani president to hold quadrilateral talks on the Karabakh problem with the participation of Baku, Yerevan, Ankara and Moscow.

This morning, the Armenian armed forces subjected the territory of the Terter region to intensive rocket and artillery fire, the press service of the Azerbaijani Prosecutor General’s Office reported.

“On October 14, at about 01:00, the Armenian side recorded the deployment of several operational-tactical missile systems with missiles at the launching position in the border zone with the occupied Kelbajar region of Azerbaijan.

The missile systems deployed in this territory were aimed at the civilian population and civilian infrastructure in Ganja, Mingachevir and other cities of Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijani army has taken preventive measures to curb the missile strike and prevent a repetition of another war crime similar to the one committed by Armenia on October 11 in Ganja.

As a result, operational-tactical missile systems were neutralized as a legitimate military target, and they were brought to a state of readiness to deliver fire strikes.
