Trump-Putin: mysterious second meeting
Two meetings took place between presidents Trump and Putin at the recent G-20 summit in Hamburg, CNN reports.
At a dinner held in honor of the participants, the American president suddenly rose and sat down at the table with Vladimir Putin. The two talked for about an hour.
Observers noted that such impromptu meetings are common at summits, but that this one looked different. An American interpreter was not present at the meeting, which means that the Russian side will be the only one possessing a transcript.
The news made headlines in the American media as allegations against Trump associates and relatives with illegal contact with Russia have been growing in number recently. The ties are being investigated by the House and Senate committees as well as a special prosecutor.
