Merab Nadaraya created his snail farm in the village of Khibula, Samegrelo, Western Georgia, three years ago. His company, Nadi Group Ltd, was the first to export snails from Georgia to Europe, and then encouraged others to do join the business. There are now 50 such farms in Georgia.
