Eighteen thousand take part in Baku marathon

The Baku Marathon was held for the third consecutive year in 2018. Anyone over 16 was able to participate as long as they registered and gave a donation [of about USD 10]. There were no other requirements for participating.

The distance was 21km, and the winners received cash prizes and gifts.

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation who helped to organize the marathon will spend all the proceeds on helping children deprived of parental care.
