Azerbaijani citizens can travel without visas to 66 countries – 3 more than last year
Citizens of Azerbaijan can enter 66 countries around the world without a visa.
In 2018 Azerbaijan advanced in the updated Passport Index rating of Henley & Partners, moving up three spaces and taking 74th place out of 104. The year before were 63 such countries.
An Azerbaijani passport allows its holder to visit Georgia, Turkey, Iran, almost all CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries except Armenia as well as Albania, Montenegro, Malaysia, and several other countries without a visa.

Azerbaijani citizens can obtain a visa on arrival at ports of entry in Benin, Syria and Sri Lanka.
However, visa-free travel agreements with some countries – for example, Palestine – was terminated.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the number one destination for Azerbaijani citizens is Iran, with Georgia close behind.
Citizens of Georgia enjoy visa-free travel to 114 countries (51st in the index), while Armenia ranks 68th in the index. The leader in the region is Russia, whose citizens can visit 119 countries without a visa.
