Turkey builds 290-kilometer wall on the border with Syria
Turkey has already constructed half of the concrete wall on the border with Syria with the aim to protect its border. 290 kilometers have been already developed so far.
The wall along the Turkish-Syrian border is 3 meters high and is topped with barbed wire.
As Ergun Turan, the Head of Turkey’s Housing Development Agency, told Anadolu news agency, the modular wall on the Turkish-Syrian border would be 511 km long and would cover 6 border provinces.
In his words, the wall design provides for its possible dismantling in case the security situation improves.
