Three new coronavirus cases in Georgia, bringing total to 33
On March 15, three new cases of coronavirus were diagnosed in Georgia. The total number of reported cases in the country is now 33. Four of them are minors, and they are reported to be in stable condition.
500 people are currently in quarantine in Georgia.
The three new cases had contact with foreigners who came from high-risk countries, the head of the Tbilisi Infectious Disease Hospital Tengiz Tsertsvadze told reporters.
“In Georgia, there has not yet been a case where the virus has been transmitted through several people and the patient does not know where he might have gotten infected. If such a situation arises, it will be more serious and will require a special strategy,” said Tsertsvadze.
