Prince Harry, the youngest son of Prince Charles who is the first in line to inherit the throne, gave a sensational interview to Newsweek.
He stated specifically that no British royal wanted to be king nor take the place of Elizabeth II as queen. The Queen, 92, inherited the throne 65 years ago. “We will carry out our duties at the right time”, the prince added, who is fifth in line.
One specific question Prince Harry was asked, was the relationship he had with his mother, Lady Diana. He answered that she did a lot to show him and his brothers how ordinary people live. “Even if I become king,” the prince added, “I will be doing my own shopping by myself in supermarkets.”
He also shared the most painful episode of his life, when he had to walk the streets of London with the rest of the family as part of the mourning ceremony for his mother, who died in a car accident in Paris in 1997 at the age of 36.
