On the 8th of July, Georgian students made up a human chain in a protest effort at the occupation line of the Tskhinvali region and stayed overnight. They raised the national flag and sang the national anthem.
“No to occupation”, “Russia is an occupant”, “Our land is our responsibility” and “Stop Russia”- these slogans were used by the youth to protest against the actions of Russian occupation forces.
On 3 July, the Russian military illegally erected a border sign in the village of Bershueti of Gori Municipality, resulting in a loss of approx. 10 hectares of land which belonged to several locals.
The protest rally, which was planned via Facebook, envisioned spreading information regarding Russia’s illegal actions and creeping occupation on Georgian territories.
