Starting from January 1, 2017, the heads and employees of the State Social Welfare Service will be personally responsible and financially liable for non-entry, incomplete entry or introduction of invalid (unreliable) data related to employment records that were produced upon request, as well as any data mismatch in the seniority confirming documents in the system.
The corresponding changes, introduced on the Armenian Prime Minister’s decree, aim to minimize corruption risks and exclude payment of pensions based on unsubstantiated or unreliable, false documents.
Some clear-cut guidelines on data entry in a relevant format have been elaborated with the aim to organize the aforesaid work. In addition, a special working group has been set up to oversee the process. It will permanently monitor seniority calculation through random and target inspections.
