Azerbaijani, Armenian and Russian FMs to meet next week

Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia are expected to hold a trilateral meeting in Moscow on 27 April.
Elmar Mammadyarov and Edward Nalbandyan will simultaneously visit Moscow next week. The are expected to discuss with the Russian FM, Sergey Lavrov, the current state of negotiations on the peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Maria Zakharova, confirmed the reports on the possible holding of a trilateral meeting in Moscow.
“A meeting between the Foreign Ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia may be held in Moscow in the near future,” APA news agency quoted Zakharova as saying.
Last time, Azerbaijani and Armenian Foreign Ministers met in Hamburg on 9 December 2016.
The OSCE Minsk Group mediated talks on peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict have been underway for 25 years already, but haven’t yielded any results so far.
The OSCE Minks Group Co-Chairs-Russia, USA and France, have recently agreed that the Russian Federation would assume the key mediator’s role in the negotiation process.
