Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov posted a video showing the verbal confrontation between him and Odessa Governor Mikheil Saakashvili on his facebook page.
The video shows that during the conflict Avakov splashed water in Saakashvili’s face.
The Interior Minister also responds to Petro Poroshenko’s statement in which he described the incident “shameful’ and said that statements with racist implications were unacceptable.
‘Mr. President, to say the least, I am surprised by your statement. Who would you blame for xenophobia? An Armenian who lives in Ukraine since he was 3? ..
You invited me to the office to discuss the reforms and did not allow me to say a word. I addressed you twice, but it seems it was a theater for Saakashvili. However, he’s not the only hot-blooded Caucasian. I am really sorry about what happened,’- said Avakov.
