Armenian TV crew comes under fire on Karabakh-Azerbaijan contact line, cameraman wounded
A vehicle of the TV crew of the Yerevan-based Shant TV’s ‘Dirqerum’ (On the Positions) program came under fire on the northern section of the contact line of the Karabakh and Azerbaijan troops late on 10 May, – Armenian media outlets reported.
The TV company’s vehicle was shelled by large-caliber weapons. The program cameraman, David Atoyan, was wounded as a result of the shelling. There haven’t been any reports on other casualties.
Atoyan was operated on in Stepanakert hospital this morning.
According to Arshak Zakaryan, the author of the program, David Atoyan sustained leg wounds. After the surgery his condition has been assessed as normal.
