Armenian PM says the country needs a reform benefiting the poor

Armenian Prime Minister, Karen Karapetyan claims, there is efficiency problem in all spheres of activity and specific reforms are required in order to utilize the same budget more effectively:
“The government should certainly stand to protect socially vulnerable people. We are going to carry out large-scale reforms in the social and healthcare spheres…Although, we can’t solve all social problems facing the people, but even in such conditions, with limited resources, we have problems related to inefficient spending of funds. And we also make beneficiary designation mistakes sometimes.”
Armenian Premier stated the aforesaid at the meeting with residents of Avan community, Yerevan, held as part of the parliamentary election campaign. He considers the Republican Party’s program as comprehensive, ambitious and realistic, and also answering the following question: ‘what kind of problems do we have and were; what do we want to achieve and who should do what to ensure that?’
The analysts note that political parties’ resources, including financial and ideological ones, have a particularly significant role in this pre-election race.
Election campaign was launched in Armenia on March 5. Being a member of the Republic Party, Premier Karapetyan has been actively engaged in the election campaign activities.
