Return home to Azerbaijan, get a car
In 2019, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) provided financial support to Azerbaijani citizens who emigrated to Europe and then voluntarily returned.
In particular, some of them returning from the Netherlands received a car to work as taxi drivers.
This is part of the IOM Voluntary Return and Reintegration Assistance Program in several countries. It aims to help returnees “stand on their feet” after returning.
In general, in 2019, 831 people voluntarily returned to Azerbaijan, mostly coming from Germany and the Netherlands.
