Major reconstruction work has been completed in the South Ossetian capital, Tskhinval. The city centre has been renovated, dozens of streets repaired, and new utility networks installed.
The redevelopment of Theatre Square included new lighting, benches and marble planters, while boxwood and juniper shrubs were planted. Several school and college buildings, along with the Kosta Khetagurov State Drama Theatre, have also been restored.
The work was funded through Russia’s investment programme.
