Web portal for investors launched in South Ossetia

An official investment internet portal – www.investrso.su – has been created in South Ossetia. Its function is to provide foreign investors interested in exploring the South Ossetian economy with all the necessary information they may need.

Basic information has already been uploaded to the portal about investment platforms (available land plots and buildings), including information about currently working enterprises and businesses which may interest potential investors. There is also basic information about South Ossetia itself.

“Our ministry designed and produced the portal itself. To this day, about ten foreign businessmen have invested in South Ossetia. I am sure that this investment portal will stimulate new enthusiasm,” the Minister of Economy of South Ossetia Gennadi Kokoyev told JAMnews.

The site also has an FAQ section which explains what is needed in order to become an investor in South Ossetia and what aid is available to individuals looking to invest their money in local enterprises.
