Public beaches open at Armenia's Sevan lake
Sevan lake’s public beaches have officially opened today, offering free-of-charge services to all visitors.
There will be 11 recreational zones in the lakeside area, including three of them offering additional free-of-charge services: lounge chairs and umbrellas, medical aid, ports and playing grounds, as well as rescue services.
Ashot Avalyan, the Deputy Head of Staff of the Ministry of Nature Protection, who is responsible for the public beaches, reported on the aforesaid. According to him, the beaches are more likely to be overcrowded on hot summer days, therefore 4-5 rescuers will be assigned to each beach to ensure vacationers’ safety.
Avalyan assured the public that Sevan lake public beaches are in good condition.He also said that up to 180 000 people visited the lake last year in season-time.
Apart from the public beaches, there are also privates ones available at Sevan lake.
