Twenty-two people have been killed, with fifty-nine wounded last night by a blast in Manchester. The victims are mostly young people who attended a performance by American singer Ariana Grande, popular among the youth.
The concert was hosted at the Manchester Arena which has a capacity of up to 25 000 people. The attack is presumed to have been committed by a suicide bomber armed with an explosive device containing metal shrapnel.
The terrorist attack in Manchester is the biggest since 2005, when 50 fell victim to the attacks in the London metro.
The British Prime-Minister, Theresa May, called the attack “appalling”. She ceased her election campaign and called for an emergency session of the Cobra anti-terrorist committee.
No claims of responsibility have been reported yet.
