An early-morning fire has destroyed a major trade centre “Children’s world” and adjacent buildings on the Station Square in Tbilisi.
It has taken scores of fire-fighting crews and several hours to extinguish the fire. Luckily, no one was killed or injured.
Dozens of desperate traders are on the scene, rummaging through what’s been left of their merchandise in a hope to salvage at least something. Damages sustained are yet to be estimated, but, as head of the areas’ administration said, they are likely to be quite heavy.
Investigation into what may have caused the fire is getting underway.
